What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture, which is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, involves the use of fine needles to puncture particular points on the body. The acupoints stimulate the body's natural healing processes. Modern research confirms the effectiveness of acupuncture, and the World Health Organization (WHO) released a list of health issues for which acupuncture is particularly helpful. The list includes:
